William Hedgepeth

Chief Executive Officer 

A native North Carolinian and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bill has been in banking since 1983. Prior to the acquisition of Select Bank & Trust (July 2014), he served as CEO of  the former New Century Bank of Fayetteville from 2004-2007, and president and CEO of the former New Century Bank (Dunn, NC), beginning in 2007. He has an extensive career in banking and bank management.

Chief Banking Officer 

Keith was named chief banking officer in January 2017 after serving as a regional execuitve for the bank in the Wilmington, N.C. market. He joined the bank in April 2016. Prior to joining Select, Keith was President and Chief Executive Officer of a bank in Jacksonville, N.C., for several years and also served as President and Chief Executive Officer and an organizer of Port City Capital Bank in Wilmington, N.C. He founded that bank in 2001 and remained there until the bank was sold in 2006. He is a graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg.

Mark Jeffries

Mark has been in banking since 2002 and in the finance industry more than 30 years. He grew up in eastern North Carolina in Elizabeth City and attended East Carolina University before entering the accounting finance sector of the work force. He assumes the functional roles of principle financial officer and principle accounting officer. He will oversee the accounting department.

 

Lynn Johnson

Lynn has served in a human resources director role since 2003, most recently serving as corporate ethics officer. She directs all human resource functions of the bank to include compensation, benefits, training, diversity, performance management and talent acquisition. She is responsible for the ethics program and oversees the marketing function. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business from Wake Technical Community college and is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) as well as a Corporate Compliance Ethics Professional (CCEP) and a graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking.

Rick Tobin

David Richard “Rick” Tobin, Jr.
Executive Vice President
Chief Credit Officer

Named chief credit officer in February 2012, Rick joined the former New Century Bank in 2008 as regional credit administrator. The veteran banker is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in technology with a concentration in business. In 1990, he graduated from the management development program of the NC School of Banking in Chapel Hill.
